Can I update my Streamlight Stinger?

I have a Streamlight Stinger 75014, S/N 1216655. Also has a sticker on the box that says: 1 - 5YN52.

The battery has died and I'd now like to upgrade it to the most powerful light technology available. Can someone tell me the what I should upgrade to, specific manufacturer, where to buy, how much. The array of upgrade kits is dizzying and I'm afraid if I proceed uninformed, I will end up ordering the wrong thing.

LumensFactory has some streamlight drop-ins available. I've used their other products and everything has been good quality, especially for the price. They don't have a ton of options for streamlight but I'm sure they have something for a stinger.
Is it an LED already or does it have an incandescent bulb?
Also, when you say the battery has died, I'm assuming it's a built-in rechargeable? Are you able to easily open it up and remove it?
