Can one run a KL5 with two 168`s on 12pm body?

Guys just wondering if anyone knows. Since Surefire says Kl5 can be used on 9p i am thinking it could run on two Pila`s since they only produce 8.8 volts at best. But i need feedback before i smoke my only Kl5.

This has been debated many times, and I think the general consensus is that you will smoke the KL5. The dc converter in the KL5 seems to be almost identical to the one in an L4, an that you one you definitely don't want to run on 9 volts. Personally I think the statement on Surefire's website is a mistake.
