I have a couple of daylight MR16s in my home (Feit BPEXN/950CA) and would like to buy a couple more, but can't find a vendor here in Germany or Europe anymore. Amazon and eBay shops from the US don't ship to Europe, I asked a couple of them. Only one quoted, but at ridiculous prices, both for the product as well as the shipping.

Would one of you US citizens buy 7 of these 3-packs (total 21) for me and forward them to me in a cheap way? I'm not in a hurry, so snail mail (surface) or any other cheap (but safe and reliable) way would be fine for me. Which way would you like to be paid? I guess Paypal friends would be the most convenient - ?

Just to let you know, the shipping cost from the US to Europe for something that size is likely to be around 40 to 50 US dollars.

You also want to make sure the voltage matches up, and it is possible the AC frequency could be different. It's unlikely, but sometimes there can be problems if you try to run a product designed for the electric supply in one country in a different country. (I'm sure the product would still turn on, but if there were some problems it might flicker, or burn out sooner, or not light up as brightly)

Have you considered getting Sora MR16s? Most of Feit's products are only 90 CRI, which is not really all that great when it comes to the category of "high CRI" light.

What about checking out Philips brand?
470179 (replaced by 573618 ) is 95 CRI, which would be better than Feit, but probably substantially more expensive.

As written above I already have a couple of Feit BPEXN/950CA in use, and they perform great. According to my Opple Light Master 3 they have a CRI of 93, and even if this reading isn't quite accurate, the optical impression is that they emit a plain white light without any tint.

Philips doesn't make 5000K MR16s. I have a couple Philips MASTER LED ExpertColor 5.5-50W GU10 940 25D in use, they were the best MR16s that I knew when I bought them, but they are by far not as good as these Feit BPEXN/950CA. IMHO this is mostly due to the 4000K color temperature. Unfortunately Philips doesn't make any with 5000K.

Wouldn't normal ground shipping be much cheaper than $40? For some reason every time I ship something to Europe, they want to pay a lot more for priority shipping.

I am awaiting a flashlight from Germany. Standard shipping with no tracking for this small package was $20. Priority would have been $60.

40 or even 50$ for shipping would be o.k. for me, the problem is, none of the suppliers of this particular lamp ships to Europe at all - except for the one who wants over 200$ for lamps and shipping. That's really a bit too steep.

So I beg you, again: can one of you please check how much ground shipping from your home place in the USA to Munich, Germany costs, and let me know? Then order the lamps from the shop linked in my entry post and once you receive it, ship it to me?

I understand this way I'll have to pay not only the goods, but first domestic shipping to your place, then international to me. As long as the total sum isn't too high, it's o.k. for me. I could even pay a little extra for your effort.

How about it :) ?
