I see 21700 batteries are not supported by the BT3100 but it looks like they would fit. Would it endanger the charger or battery if I tried to charge one?

I charged an unprotected one in my "Opus BT3100 v2.2" the other day, Though an protected one might not fit due to the extra length, I dont have one to measure.
From the review below "The charger uses the classical slider construction to handle most battery sizes. The slider works smoothly and can handle sizes from 32 mm to 72.5 mm.
For measuring internal resistance the slider is not very good, it often has a "high" connection resistance."
