Does anyone here run carbon filament bulbs by chance? I have one in a pendant lamp which doesn't get used often, but I love the warm glow. I hate how much heat it puts out though. Holy cow are these inefficient!

I don't know if I can still get them. I bought these 30 years ago. I have a soft-start dimmer on them with a 10-second ramp. So far, so good, but I don't run them often, but it does completely change the feel of the room.

You can still get carbon filament bulbs?
You can get them but they're rather pricey:

Here you go. I'm not actually sure how old this bulb is. I bought it 30 years ago, but it definitely was older than that.

100% brightness, modern LED bulbs off.

Same brightness, LED bulbs screwed in. 60w equivalent LED bulbs are set to 3000K for reference of just how warm the carbon bulb is.
