It's a beautiful venue. Salinas sits just behind Monterey a couple clicks away.
It certainly is a beautiful setting for a track.
I've been to a lot of race tracks in my day and was a regular at Riverside International Raceway for IMSA and Trans Am races. But Laguna Seca was the only one where you could buy Calamari at the track!

Wow, a conversation with Zora Arkus Duntov. That must have been quite an experience.
Pretty brief as he was very busy, but I did get to see his mid-engine Corvette prototype!

They use to serve deep fried tentacles on a bun with tartar sauce. Mixing squid with draft beer has the potential to be explosive 🥴

Great posts on Laguna & Riverside ^^

This year would be Carroll Shelby 100th birthday.
I met him at Road America maybe 15 years ago, shook his hand & felt truly starstruck_:bowdown:

Very cool flashlight holder!
Looks like a very clean restoration. Is it all stock, does it have the top luggage rack?
It's pretty much restored to stock - when he could afford the parts. Some of them being priced beyond his means. He did install an electric fuel pump for when the car had been sitting for a prolonged period. He just uses it to prime the system. The mechanical pump is utilized for driving. There's no luggage rack. Too much money.

It looks like it may have been a factory upgrade, which is why I wondered.

My old boss restores early 60's hot rods of the type used in nascar in the late 50's and early 60's. Sometimes he'll add a factory upgrade unique to that model.

So I wondered if the original owner had that flashlight holder added or if you could but one at the dealership back then. Like KG said, it looks like it was made for that model car.
