Cars, Man

WHAT DO WE WANT? MOTOR PICS!

Here's a link to the story about this particular '49 Power Wagon @ Motor Trend:

No pics of the engine, sadly. It sports a modern Cummins Turbo Diesel engine, 350hp and 600 lb-ft torque.

A shop known as Legacy Classic Trucks built the thing. Apparently they specialize in restomod creations and have done many.

If one has a spare $350-400K lying around, ...

Beautiful truck. Not my cuppa, but I could probably get used to it. Would need 10,000ac or land and a bit of ranch work to get done, first, to even justify such a thing. But, yeah, I'm sure it'd suit.

I'm in the UK so everything US seems exotic.

The US never got Skoda but our family runs 4 of them. If you imagine a Tesla... then imagine a car the polar opposite you have the Skoda Estelle. But I would never swap 🙃

They need leaded petrol so on each fill I add a shot of Tetroethyl Lead. This comes in metal cans.

Saw that very model painted red, with a black lip-spoiler used in an independent psychological horror video game set somewhere in Mid-West America. Of course the game developers didn't refer to it by its real-world counter part.

Interesting. Actually red was a popular colour for them. They are very distinctive for sure - especially in modern traffic.

Found it!
"Echoes of the House."
Very linear, quite short.
But they nailed the psychological horror aspect.
