Help Support CPF:

I still have the original mn02 that came in my E2o. I keep it in my spares carrier. I figure it would be very useful when I need longer run time. So if the MN02 is no longer discontinued should that be reflected in the first post?

For "historical" purposes, probably.

Just imported my 'new' Laser Products / SureFire 9Z into CPF, so I thought I'd put up a pic to help fill out the OP's thread.

Recently got these good stuff: vintage 6P-CLEAR & 9SL A01
Now I'm addicted to get more vintage SureFire:devil:

Interesting pic - are those Duracells the ones that came with the light? What is the date on them? Maybe they pre-date SF batteries. Maybe Al will be along soon to give us more info...

SureFire used to ship their lights with DL123A (Duracell) batteries before introducing their own brand 🙂

Before SureFire's own brand was introduced, the cheapest way DL123A could be sold/bought was inside a 12B Hurricane model.

My contribution.....

This is an unusual one. It is a true E1e Executive body, with pocket clip and a style that exactly matches my E1e in HA, but it has the teardrop bezel and is lasered E1.

A real Laser Products P91. Full text of the label says "9 VOLT . LASER PRODUCTS . P91". The cells are obviously not discontinued 😛

The M3 is still current, but the bezel is no longer available for purchase in this style. They have switched to a smooth style.

Front view next to a LF P7 on the left. No crenelations or scallops on this bezel.

Long discontinued, a 3rd gen KL1 and a 2nd-gen KL1. The slightly scalloped bezel distinguishes them. Shown here wearing their NX05 optics for the last time (before I change them to reflectors to match their new Cree XR-E's.)

Z52 clicky - seems like only yesterday these were standard issue but they tell me they are no longer provided now. Technically this is supposed to be a Z53 because of its color.

The C-series cousin of the Millenium bezel I posted above. This is the M2 version, also no longer available with fins. Someone in Europe is enjoying this now.. I sold it.. oh well, can't keep everything though I want to!

Yes, those DL123s come originally w/ the light. It has only code on it, no expired date.

Kif,
Please can you share some more photos of the ShieldLight's TailCap switch?

Sure, I will post more pictures about the tail switch. Basically, it had a remote tape switch w/ 25" long cable, and a twist switch on the tailcap.
The following are the pictures of manual that I took before

Here is a picture of my SureFire G2-HD (Realtree camo edition) before selling it a while back.

The photo is hosted on my Flickr account. Please feel free to use it in the original post. 🙂
Please retain the image link to the Flickr page though.

Thanks,
Robert

25'? I assume you mean 25" right? My 9SL is the same revision as yours according to my manual but the box states that it has a 40" cable, so apparently there were at least two versions. Perhaps the 6SL had two versions as well. I would measure the cable, but I don't want to take it out of the plastic it is a shelf queen.

I thought I was the only one that had one of those.. I don't feel special anymore.. :ohgeez: I've only come across the one that I remember.

I've only tested mine once on three half dead batteries. It seemed brighter than some of my later production P91's.

It's also unfrosted. I think I have at least one Laser Products P61 somewhere as well. Maybe more..

Mine's actually my 'working' P91 that gets used for all kinds of things as a production light. It's been driven nearly its whole operating life on 17500s and still works fine. I've lost count of the power-on hours plus how many discharges I've put the 17500's thru, but it's quite a lot seeing how I really liked the 200 OTF lumen beam for at least 5 years before LEDs caught up. And before I sold my clone 2x18650 pack, the bulb sat on top of that setup.

Which is why I can't quite understand how vehemently some people scold others not to run a P91 in this setup. The lamp doesn't seem to have suffered in terms of life, either.

Maybe the Laser Products P91's had the 91 secret herbs and spices and later ones don't.

Unfrosted bulb, just for trivia's sake.

😳 typo... it's 25 inches cable
