Ordered some CBP1650's for a 100+ watt light I'm working on and after 5 or so easy 1amp discharge/charge cycles one of the cells is leaking.

I then received 19 more cells today and the majority of them read 0.92-0.94 volts but I have one at 0.00 WTF!

Hello Mac,

That seems to be about normal for those cells. Consider it a small price to pay for the high current capabilities it has.

You may want to contact Bill Waites and Jim Sexton about their experiences with leaking CBP1650's.

Like others, I had some small leackage in several cells when initially charging them, but it has stopped and the cells work perfect in my hotwire ;)

Are you saying you actually use the cells that leaked in your application?

I think i had my first leaker. But i'm not sure. When one leaks in the holder it's kinda hard to determine which one it was.
