I've just got my Dereelight DBS V3 with the following setup:
* XR-E R2
* Smooth reflector
* 3SM
* Extender for using 2 * 18650
* 2 x AW P18650-31 protected cells
* Asperical Lens
* Cytac Dual Bay Fast Charger 139 from 4sevens
This setup is based on my basic skills in flashlighting, but have a few questions though.
On this forum, the 4sevens Single-Bay Smart Charger gets a lot of attention. What is the difference in quality and charging schemes of the one that I got, and the Smart Charger?
I wants the best for my expensive AW's but will also be able to charge the protected UltraFire 18650's from DX in a same manner.
Do I have to only run protected cells in the DBS or does it have built-in protection from overheating and overdischarging?
Next up, I'd like to make the DBS a powerfull light with a lot of perfect spill. I'm planning this setup:
* XM-L T6 (Neutral Wam White), 3SM pill from Dereelight
* OP reflector
* Existing 2 x AW 18650 cells with the extender.
Will this small light be able to handle the heat over eg. half an hour on high?
Do I need some other cells to be able to run the XM-L T6 2.5A?
Which cells will give me the highest output and longest runtime on high?
