I did look and search. Found a couple threads but still couldn't figure it out.

I've got AW's new ICR123 3.7V 750 mAh cells.

I've got a Pila charger that says BC2 charger & Output 4.7V / 1.5A * 2

Can I charge these cells with this charger? If so, are there any caveats.

My apologies for not being able to find the answer.

I posted this question in the wrong forum earlier. I think mdocod handle it:

I think that might be too fast a charge rate for those cells... I could be wrong...

might get a better response if you have this thread moved to the batteries section rather than the headlamps section.

No. The 1.5A charging rate will kill the 750mAH cells in just 1 or 2 cycles. Keep the charging rate under 750mA. BTW, the Pila new IBC charger ( 600mA ) will charge them well.

Thanks, AW.

I have a nano charger. The output is 0.45A so that's 450mA. I tried it on one. It didn't get hot, just warm. After resting an hour it's holding at 4.04V.

I'm thinking the nano charger is OK to use.

Yes, the Nano charger is fine ( the actual charging rate is about 200mA so it'll be a bit slow but it'll work ).
