Hi, my boys got some toy RC cars for Christmas, two cars 6 batteries each and I'm looking for charging options for eneloops. I have a La Crosse BC-900 4 battery charger for my stuff so I guess I could just get 2 more of these.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Maybe get more Eneloops and leave them charged up in sets of 6 cells so that they can just switch them out when they want to?

There's the Maha MH-C800S or Maha MH-C808M which will charge up to 8 cells independently, or also wall wart hobby chargers made for 6 cell NiMH packs that would work. The wall wart hobby chargers are generally made to charge at 0.1C/h (around 200mA for Eneloops), which can be better for the cells than overcharging them at faster rates, but this will take longer. When charging the cells in series, they should be at the same level of charged capacity as each other. (Same is true when discharging cells in series, of course.)

yeah I second Wrend, you ought to look into the Maha 80x series I think. You may want the one that case C, D-cell capabilities since your kids' toys may use those cells, too.

Thanks for the quick reply guys. I see the MH-C808M is $84 at amazon and does everything up 8 D batteries and the MH-C800S is $44 only does AA & AAAs. I'm only using small batteries right now for my lights, cameras, radios and the growing number of batter exhausting toys in stock but wonder if it's worth going to the D cell charger and starting to charge d cells also. Do the even make D cell eneloops? I don't think I even have need for C and D cell charger come to think of it.
What do you think?

Thanks

There are some NiMH C and D sized cells out there. Unfortunately though, there aren't any real Eneloop cells in these sizes. (There are some "C" and "D" sized Eneloops available in Japan, as I understand, but they're really just packs made of paralleled AAA and AA cells.) However, I think you can find some true low self discharge NiMH C and D cells made by other manufacturers. (Perhaps the Imedion ones?) They tend to be pretty pricey though.
