Charging Batteries?

Question: How do I charge my battery?

Where can I find a host of information on batteries, Ni-MH, Ni-Cd, Acid, Li-Ion.

A book, or such a resource, basically I plan on getting a PSU to charge all my batteries so now I want to read up on the chemistry and physics involved in those different batteries and how to charge them best, when to stop the charge, all these things.

please point me towards a really technical source.

Basics, depending on specific battery chemistry involved:
1) Safety glasses and safety shower handy
2) fire extinguisher
3) have already read the MSDS and know who to call
