Hya Chaps just wanted to hear your views on the Civictor V1 against the jetbeam C-LE and if there is any plans of this being released with a Seoul P4 or Cree XR-E, would make a decent EDC!!!:grin2:

Looks like it is better built than the C-LE what about the output any1 done a comparison yet!!!

Although i know ppl have modded this with the Seoul P4 has any1 modded this with a Cree an a 3 stage flupic board and is it worth modding any1 in the UK done the MOD on this if so then please chime in, might get 1 modded or mayb sum1 is willing to sell or trade their Modded V1!!!

I just did a quick eyeball comparison of the lights. The Civictor looks a bit brighter than the Jetbeam on medium, while the Jetbeam is about that same amount (50% ?) brighter on high than the Civictor. Both have very similar sized hot spots. The Civictor is about 2 mm shorter with a battery tube about 0.5 mm wider.

I'd rather have a modded L1S instead of a modded V1 for the money. You get two levels and a tail clicky for a couple more dollars.

I'd rather have a modded V1 as is is more bombproof. Less moving parts, the less things to break.

I think that if you look at reviews of the Jetbeam CE and of the Civictor by various sources you will find that the regulation on the Civictor is not too good. I just received a Jetbeam CE and am pleased with it for the $26 I spent. The beam and color are fantastic (pure white and smooth)- my finish is very good. Output is good and what I expected. The mode switching kinda sucks. It requires an extremely fast action to switch modes and does not always switch properly.
