It's not a clone.
Color Kinetics allowed Radio Shack to carry the Sauce wand and re-name it. It is a 100% legitimate product, trust me on this.

It's even shown on my Sauce Lightwand page in an update dated 10-23-01.

Why not get totally outraged by all the clones of the Photon and PT Pulsars? According to some of the flashoholics in Singapore, there are some shops selling the Photon clones, where the imitation goes even to the packaging. (There was a post somewhere around here that pointed to a Taiwanese website selling the same.) As for the PT Pulsar, I saw it myself at the local Army Surplus store.

I'm sure that before long, some ******* will come out with the Arc-AAA clone.

Is there anything that we as a group can do about these phonies?

But not for the same or lower price. The Arc AAA is unique due to it's quality.

A Photon is no real ingeniuos light. It is just a somewhat usual cell (a 2032 in the earlier ones) and a difficult to get LED (5 years ago). Better lights are now avialable for one third of the price (in Europe).

An Arc AAA contains a boost regulator, which is new in this size & power (and not easy to copy).

There is nothing to do about clones/copies - Mag has been fighting the fight for years. All of the manufacturers are aware of the knock offs - you'ld be surprised by the knock offs of our beloved SureFire's. I don't have one to post (I don't support these factories), but I have seen them and they are more than decent (made in Taiwan). The only difference is the quality of material.
