Re: SOLD WTS: X10vn The Backup Thrower 1600-1800 Lumen MUST HAVE

I sort of parachute into these and I don't have time to read all 16 pages. Got a X10Vn in a trade.
Appreciate if someone can quickly get me up and running with this. Thank you.
1)Where and how can i get a sleeve for an 18650 battery?
2) What is the runtime using a AW IMR18650 red battery?

1.Home depot? Not sure if they have them where you are? Email Vinh, he could at least tell you what size. He used a piece of PVC Pipe as I indicated in my last post.

2.I don't know! I do know that the Xtar 4000mAh 26650 [unprotected] battery gives the best overall performance in Lux and Run time. I get about 50/55 minutes on max before it starts to lose power. :)

An 18650 will have less run time than a 26650, as the 26650 just has more room to store energy, etc.

At high amp draws, the usable mah will be lower than the rated mah, as the rated mah is typically based on much lower amp draws, such as that normal people would use, as opposed to people with souped up high performance lights, etc.

:D

Grab your 18650, and the light, and go to a hardware store that has PVC pipe, and, slide it into a few pipes to see what size....then see if the pipe fits into the light.

If the pipe fits into the light, and the cell fits into the pipe, you are done, buy that one.

Thanks Capolini and TEEJ.
I will try the hardware store trick. Good idea.
Presently i just cut out some foam to stop it from moving around but foam is not any good when it starts to get hot.

Hey guys, I have not been around hear for a while, I bought this light back when Vin first brought them out but have not used it yet. I will be back at work soon (seasonal worker) and the light will come in handy shorty so was wondering if ya's can help me out. I'm guessing the proper battery for this light is a 26650 and if so, can someone suggest where to get one in Australia. Cheers buddies :)

already pre ordered one:)
just was wondering if an x10vn with xpg2 would out throw the s200c2vn..

The X10vn was tested ~95Kcd. Selfbuilt tested the S200C2vn ~122Kcd

p.s. TEEJ gave you the website[S200C2vn] in the post above!

The X10vn with XML2 was at ~ 95k cd, (Or am I misremembering?) - he's asking about an XPG2 version of the X10vn.

The X10vn is XML2,I just checked mine because I do not see any mention on the first page of the thread. I do not know of any XPG2 version? :D:D:D:D:popcorn::popcorn:;);)

For anyone that interested, including Vinh, I just put a De-Domed XP-L in the X10vn! Works pretty well!

It's actually really nice, slightly more neutral than the XML2, think the original was 6500-7000K the XP-L is 5700-6100K obviously a bit warmer after de dome for both.
looks good!
