Flashlight Enthusiast
Hopefully these come thru. I had to use a flash as the natural lighting was crappy today (raining most of the time). I need some advice on to take beam shots. No matter what I tried they came out blotchy as opposed to seeing the luxeon beam characteristics that were so obvious to the naked eye. Color redition was fairly accurate though.
All with fresh batteries, AA alkalines in the Arc LS and Reactor and of course CR123s in the X5.
Can you tell by this picture whether it's the old or new style optics?
The top ring near the lens spins around but doesn't come off and I can't see what purpose it serves. A good idea to put a plastic covering over the lens I think. Don't know how user replaceable that would be.
Just a shot to compare the lights for size. Again I apologize for the poor lighting conditions. Camera used in all shots is Nikon CP990.
