Coastlineadventures.com is having a special on reactors going for $22.95 lowest price I've seen on the net. They usualy go for $30ish going as high as $32.

Did I forget to mention that Scott at coastlineadventures will make sure you don't get a green reactor?

They are good people there and I'm trying to pitch some business their way.

I got a coupon code for cpf guys that you can use with some good and bad news to go along with it. Good news, you get 10% off your order, you can use it over and over no min or max. Bad news, won't apply to the holiday specials (prob already at their cost) which means $22.95 is the lowest price already for the reactor. No "coupon stacking" I don't know of any other coastlineadventures coupons out there but if there is you can only use one at a time. Oh yeah, and right now they have free shipping for all orders over $100. They are a small operation that will give you excelent service. Drop by their website www.coastlineadventures.com and see if you guys can't save a few bucks.

Just put the code WBCRD1 in the comments section of the order page to get 10% off.

Before you ask, no I'm not an employee of theirs, yes I really think they are good people. Heck they went out of their way to do right by me. (making sure I didn't get a green reactor) Am I getting something out of this? As of today for every person that uses the WBCRD1 coupon code I get a small consideration. Lol

doubleganger, yes but the reactor 2 does have it's advantages. It can take Li batteries, which makes it lighter and smaller than the reactor III which cannot take Li batteries (and 3AA long). The Reactor is hard to beat if you feed it Li batteries. It's bright, small, light(weight)for a complete LS light at $22.95 it's a great deal. Of course the lifetime warranty is a nice little plus too.

Darell, I spoke with CMG about that. Their response was simple and I feel honest. They said they were misled by Luxeon about the color and consistancy of their product. Her tone of voice hinted that CMG is quite frustrated by being misled and now have headaches because of it.

Personaly I think it is worth while for CMG to just bin them and send back the rejects to luxeon. I hope they start doing that and save themselves the headaches.

I was under the impression that the greenies were devices with too much phosphor, and that they turn a nice white when you overdrive them. Maybe someone should talk to CMG about buying their rejected reactors to mod for overdrive...at a suitable price, of course

The inconsistencies with Luxeons is part of what's stopping me from spending big bucks on an LS flaslight. It's hard to blame the flashlight manufacturers when it's really a problem with their raw material supplier.
