AW recommends the Powerstream coin cell charger for 10180s. Does anyone have a good picture of it? The picture on their site sucks.

Any other chargers out there that I can use besides R/C chargers?

how many batteries do you need to charge?
What is the capacity of an 10180?

Charge just one at a time but I have two. 90 mah is the capacity. Both my nano charger & WF-139 are rated at 450ma so even charging two of these in parallel is not safe?

The Powerstream coin cell charger should be perfect, 40ma, but I'd like to see a clearer picture of it..

The link you provided shows a charger with 270 watts total power,
seems a little high for a 10180 :poof:

Is this the coin-cell charger you mean?

That's it. Perfect, that last pic showed me exactly what I needed to know. Going to order one now. Thanks DM51!

It's a good solution for charging a 10180. Some people have been using the 10440-size Nano-chargers, but the output on these is 200mA. That is >2C for a 10180, which is too much.

I can't say I've put too many cycles on 10180s through this coin-cell charger (fewer than 20 cycles) but it has worked well so far.

It seems there are three different versions of the 10440 Nano cahrgers. The one I have looks different from the one AW sells & has a different p/n. Mine says .45a on the back. There's also a black version too that I do not know the specs on.

I think yours is the RCR123A version - look at the size of the battery bay. 0.45A (450mA) is the output of that one.

The black one is the 10440-size (AAA size) bay and is 200mA.

I don't know of a 3rd version.

Mine is definitely the AAA size but I git it from KD. The p/n is NBC-A001. Mine is gray & says Nano on it but the case differs in shape & color from the gray Nano AAA charger that I bought from AW (which I gave to a friend). So I say 3 versions. The one I have, the common one that AW sells, & the black one.

Maybe they screwed up on mine & put the AAA size bay on a R123 charger when making it? The believe 200ma version has a different p/n from mine. Regardless, my nano doesn't charge my 10180 batteries anyway. Light turns from green to red when the battery is inserted but no power output.

Sounds like maybe you have a knockoff, and not a very good one, at that.

Probably, I wouldn't doubt it. It's in the trash now anyways. Thanks for the help.

This is exactly the thread I was looking for. Surprisingly, this is one of the very few moments where the searching function gave me something I needed.

Does anyone know approximately how many times I can charge a 10180 before the cell dies?

If you don't over-charge it or over-discharge it, or run it at >2C, you should get >500 cycles out of it.

Thanks DM51. That's what I thought too, but asked because I misread you when you said,

"I can't say I've put too many cycles on 10180s through this coin-cell charger (fewer than 20 cycles) but it has worked well so far. "

I read it too quickly and thought you mean you can't put too many cycles on the 10180. This is what happens when you're reading CPF late at night. :sleepy:

My apols - Obviously my post was open to misunderstanding. I just meant I haven't used it very much yet. I'm anticipating it will continue to work well for a long time to come.

I know this is an old thread but.. I just got the coin cell charger from powerstream. http://www.powerstream.com/licoin-charger.htm
On the website it says "Charge rate is 40 mA"

However, on the back of the charger says,
input: AC180-240V 50HZ
output: DC 2.8-8.7V 250mah
Suitable for 200-3000mah

Can this safely charge 90mah 3.7V 10180 cells? Or did I get the wrong one?
Thanks.
