I'll save the deep dive for an appropriate thread, but here's a comparison of some different switches. Top three are LA Screw double-ended switches, bottom one is a GT Price clickie. They also (at least) made blue and silver lights but I don't have any examples.

The Brute did not copy the LA Screw switch but like the LA Screw the switch is a weak spot in the overall scheme of things. That two part two spring thing on the Brute wasn't the greatest idea since sliced bread.

I feel LA Screw lights had a better concept than the execution. They're fascinating but a little half baked.
