I saw one of these in a Coleman outlet store over the weekend. It is VERY NICE. Small, 4AA, and bright with a K2 LED. Evidently these are just coming out; notice the "Available April 2007". I was hoping to find them a bit cheaper than MSRP, but it appears that I'll have to wait.

Take a look:

All of the new "Exponent" stuff looked like very good quality in the store. Here's a cool flashlight:

I have been doing some looking up of these and want to get one after what I have learned. With a K2 LED its going to be nice and bright. Do you know if these are available yet?

Yes, they are available at several locations on the web and at Coleman outlet stores now for $34.99. I handled one in person, and it seems as bright as a River Rock. It's quite compact too, half the size of the River Rock when "folded".

Search for "exponent pack-away" on Google.

Thanks. I definitely will be waiting for the Cree. Hopefully a group buy will happen.

I've subbed to the other thread, hopefully this one will die.

today i just bought Outside buyers guide magazine and it shows the coleman Cree Xlamp at 95 lumnes, runs 12 hours on low, 5 hours on high, and 10 hours on strobe unit shuts off when closed i want to know when this is out

in the issue no, i sent an email to coleman though, waiting on a response

Go to the Coleman store.

Click on the Family Store link at the top of the page.

Put in FAMILY as the code.

Go to Lights --> Battery Powered --> 4-AA Pack away

It now shors up as $17.50 instead of $35

I am waiting for the CREE version

WOW! That family store at colman is a big savings. Thanks for the that one. When the CREE version comes out it will be a pretty cool "FAMILY" price
