Coleman Widebeam 4D w/7 Watt Fluorescent

Anyone have one of these? Looks like good quality for a fluoro combo light. Might be nice on rechargeables. Anyone know anything about this? I know the beam is supposed to be much wider, 140 vs 90 degrees, without much of a hotspot. It also says it's weatherproof, another fluoro-flashlight rarity.

looks interesting but I would rather have a 9watt utube lantern for $10 and a seperate flashlight than combine them in a limited angle flood light. I kind of like the look of the coleman 15watt twisty bulb lantern with exception of the outrageous bulb replacement cost.

LA, what 9W u-tube are you talking about? Which 15W twisty?

Walmart has a generic 4D lantern with a 9watt utube for about $10. Ozark brand or something like that. Coleman makes a lantern that uses 8D cells I believe that has a 15watt twister fluorescent tube in it. I believe it is call a retro lantern or something along that line. BigLots has them for about $15 and I have seen them for $20 at sams but I believe the version at sams is different as it has a high/low setting and a nightlight where I think the one at BigLots is just on off with maybe the nightlight.

Oh, there is also a new version of the 15watt twisty lantern at walmart it is collapsable and there is a thread already talking about it. $20 I believe is the price and it is very square and boxy looking and black.
