How many of you would be interested in a type III hard anodized adapter that would convert your M2 or C2-HA into a M3? Or a C3-HA into a M4? This could be a great item for DSpeck's next project. It would be one piece and go on the front of the flashlight like the E series battery extensions. It could also have cooling fins like the M3.

Edit: If color matching isn't an issue, you could use this adapter on your 6P, 6Z, Z2, D2, 9P, 9Z, Z3 and D3.

I'd be interested, but where would I get an M4 head? Haven't seen any floating around. If you have an idea, I'm definitely interested. I've been thinking about getting an M4. I've gotta tell ya though. I have some of DSpeck's stuff in brass, man is it beautiful. It compliments the Type III nicely.

Well, why not use Surefire's own A19? It only comes in black type II anodizing, and screws in the back.

After which you can use a P90/P91 lamp assembly in the M2/C2 bezel.

An similar M4 can be lego-ed by using a Turbo-head (I forget the part numbers) and the appropriate bulbs. Of course it won't look as cool but it's already available.

The KT4 is the bezel for the M3T, M4 and M6. It comes with the MN15 and MN16 Lamps. It uses the MN60, MN61 and N62 lamps with 4 cells. The standard M3 bezel is also available for between $35 and $40. It uses the MN10 and MN11 lamps. Then there is the upcoming KL6 LED bezel for the M3. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to put that on a C2 or M2 instead of having to buy another M3. Of course there's always the KL2 LED bezel. Don't think brass would be a good idea. It is a big part and would be a little heavy. I haven't seen the brass parts from DSpeck yet. Bought some from Joe400 last night and can't wait to see them. DSpeck does nice work. He just mailed me some finned battery extensions he made up special for me. Hope customs lets them through quickly. The C2M/Extender could also be made in black to go with the 6P, Z2 and D2. Could also use the 9P, Z3 and D3 for a 4 cell light. The M series bezels are only available in HA III though.

The C2M/Extender is not just a battery extension. It is also an adapter to put M series bezels on classic Surefire lights.

You can use the A19, of course you then loose the ability to use the rubber grip ring, of the M2 and C2-C3, properly.

You can then use the P90 and P91 with the A19 extension but the E2M/Extender would give you the ability to use the standard M3 bezel with it's larger reflector, shock isolation and more powerful lamps. Also, with the C3-HA, E2M/Extender, and the KT4 it is very similar to the old 12ZM. Except it has shock isolation and a Pyrex lens. You could also use the KL2 and upcoming KL6.

I have a lego-ed "M4". Parts include an old round style 9P, KT1-HA, A-19, SW02-HA and MN60. Gives me 225 lumens for an hour. Call it my "light cannon". Actually it's probably closer to the old 12PM. Can't put the M series bezels on it though. I don't care about mixing black with HA. Cool doesn't count with me. Just want to be able to put the improved M series bezels, with their more powerful lamps, on lights we already own.
