Well, why not use Surefire's own A19? It only comes in black type II anodizing, and screws in the back.
After which you can use a P90/P91 lamp assembly in the M2/C2 bezel.
An similar M4 can be lego-ed by using a Turbo-head (I forget the part numbers) and the appropriate bulbs. Of course it won't look as cool but it's already available.

The C2M/Extender is not just a battery extension. It is also an adapter to put M series bezels on classic Surefire lights.
You can use the A19, of course you then loose the ability to use the rubber grip ring, of the M2 and C2-C3, properly.
You can then use the P90 and P91 with the A19 extension but the E2M/Extender would give you the ability to use the standard M3 bezel with it's larger reflector, shock isolation and more powerful lamps. Also, with the C3-HA, E2M/Extender, and the KT4 it is very similar to the old 12ZM. Except it has shock isolation and a Pyrex lens. You could also use the KL2 and upcoming KL6.
I have a lego-ed "M4". Parts include an old round style 9P, KT1-HA, A-19, SW02-HA and MN60. Gives me 225 lumens for an hour. Call it my "light cannon". Actually it's probably closer to the old 12PM. Can't put the M series bezels on it though. I don't care about mixing black with HA. Cool doesn't count with me. Just want to be able to put the improved M series bezels, with their more powerful lamps, on lights we already own.
