since I got a KL1 head for my surefire e1e and I bought an extra twistie tail pack for my arc LSH-S I screwed them together and was wondering if anyone has tried to put some kind of battery set up in this combo. It would make a really cute small lite if a battery set up for this could be worked out.

I was thinking the same thing but with KL1+twist pack. I don't like the looks of the KL1+E1e. I'm glad you posted this!

I'm sorry, I wanted to use the original surefire e1e head with the arc twistie tailpack to make a super short light. No wonder I confused everyone, I confused myself and gave an incomplete description. I have to get better about which posts I make in which forums.

I believe you're talking about something like this?

Gee, now I know why I was able to sell one of my old ARC twistie tailcaps.

Since SF won't sell bodies separately any more it would be nice if McGizmo (or the skunks) went into production with this adapter. I could use it with my KL1.

I've already screwed my surefire e1e head on to my arc twistie tailcap, I thought there might be some kind of special batteries that would fit the shortened length of the two together.

Well, you never know... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've got a couple of things on the drawingboard... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hi guys,

There is one flaw with this adapter I feel I should point out. The light functions by threading the adapter in until its lip contacts the cathode ring of the LA. To turn the light off, the adapter is backed off. This is fine and good but you are also backing the O-ring out of its bore seal. There is likely a fine line where the light can be safely off and you still have water resistant integrity. However you can also leave the light in a state where the O-ring isn't sealing the assembly. Not a big deal in most cses but something to keep in mind prior to swimming! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

PS. If time could be turned back, I'd lobby SF for a longer over lap of head lip over the O-ring but................
