I went home and tried to fire up my SL-20X but the battery was dead. For some reason, I could not find the charger. I guess if I was the standard Police issue incandescent, I'd be afraid of a Mr. Bulk Special too, I would not want to get embarrassed by an LED. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

So, the closest competitor I could find was my trusty Elecktrolumens Blaster II+.

The Blaster II yielded a nice 2,050 Lux while the Mr. Bulk Special yield a consistent 8,200 Lux. Both these LED flashlights are incredible. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Here are some comparison pictures:

So you mean we should compare it to a 5W light like THIS one?

Yowch... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Mr B, do you happen to know the weight of an SN2 with batteries?

At least my Blaster II+ yielded over 2,000 Lux. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mr. Bulk's 5W wonder is always impressive... I suspect that even his lowest lumen rated SNII is still at the top of the beam quality chart. Thanks for posting those beam pics S4. Although, it really only serves to depress me even more after missing out on Charlie's latest offering with the Silver SNII's. I miss one day on CPF and I completely miss out on another great B/S/T opportunity.

Interesting,
Notice how the SNII puts out exactly 4 times the light as a Blaster II? Considering a 5W has 4 1.25 watt elements in the LED, that would make sense. I just find it interesting that the Blaster II is a SNII lite light. If you have any SNII's or Blaster II's that need a home, I will take care of them and feed them well /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

It would be sad if a flashaholic LEO didn't work nights.
