Cool new Tech

Cool indeed, probably get down to a penny per square inch once it becomes a competitive market.

A quick comment about the video: Dietrich is one of the worst "scientist on the inside" contacts any news organization has ever found.
Paraphrasing - "We have this dust, and we put it on glass, and we put it on this oven... thing...and the molecules...and there are a lot of them... and that's how it works". Honestly, that's pretty much what he said.

?

It doesn't sound as though English is his first language and kudos to him, was trying to explain in layman's terms. Perhaps he could have gone into greater depth so that you could replicate it in your home lab.

Can't wait for my 'wall of light'.

It was just an observation so there's no need to defend him. Regardless of their first language, some scientists have a better ability to convey complex scientific processes in layman's terms that at least make sense, that is obviously not his strong point as was evident in the video. His description was not too far from what you'd expect from the instructions of an Easy-Bake oven.
I suppose you consider me wrong for wanting more info, it's just how I am. I appreciate knowing a little more than "flip the switch and the lights turn on", or "turn the key and it will start".
Anyway, haha to the "home lab" comment but that's not me, I'm no scientist. I will, however, be in line with you to buy MY wall of light also, and will expect someone besides Dietrich to write the installation manual.
:faint:
