Couple of Old School SF 8X's

Looked in my goody closet today and noticed a couple of old school SF 8X rechargeables. I ran a search and saw a thread about the battery and charger issues with these old lights. I was never particularly impressed with the battery performance. Luckily I got them pretty cheap at the time.

Anyway, I'm wondering if they would be worth something to somebody or be worth trying to mod in some fashion or....? The search didn't produce much, at least on the first few pages with many threads being 3-6 years old! :laughing:

Several CPF members have brought up the topic of upgrading it with an LED option. I believe Beastmaster and Justin Case have gone into this topic. They may be interested in using them as prototypes.

Here is a thread from 2009 about it.

Also, Silverfox made some replacement batteries with quality cells that don't seem to be available at present.
