I can make the raw ZLT+ boards for CPF members who are interested. I'm thinking if you send a self addressed stamped envelope to me, I'd drop one in and send it back to you. If you need more than one then send a buck to cover my material cost.
The board I'm selling is a slight modified version of the Mercator design and includes a small trace as the current sense resistor. You can trim this or add an external wire to trim the final currrent value.
I have enough components to build two or three complete assembly. if you are interested in the complete loaded assembly I can make one from the stock on hand. I have no future plans on building the ZLT+ since I think the MAX167X board I'm working on is coming along real good and will probably be the DC/DC converter of choice for me and my flashlight mods.
If people are interested in the MAX167X board I am thinking of selling these instead.
Please email me direct at
[email protected] and I can provide more details.
I just got my toner laminator back and pressed two boards and I'm back into making good quality boards with the toner transfer system. I had two images and both came out great. By hand I've been doing two to 4 images and have always have been lucky if I get one reasonably good image.
Just FYI, I've got several sheets or many sheets of scrapped double sided copper clad board so these are being passed on at no cost. Board cost would be the chemical, toner and paper cost mostly.
I think Duggg, Mercator, and MrAl have OK'd me to make this offer to CPF. Last I heard Duggg was trying to make sure that some of CPF that had received an auctioned bare board had actually built them and that they had worked without any problems. There might be still some work that needs to be done and I think that is what people have been waiting for.
I'm sure one of them will post a response here giving us an update where the ZLT+ program stands.
I have yet to post a new thread and am waiting for Duggg or someone to say it is OK.
If you can load your own, I can offer one single raw board with the self addressed stamp envelope. That for now would be the easiest and least hassle for me right now.
Maybe, later there will be a pool of CPF that I might do a run for them. I'd prefer to do a batch of 10-15 so that the shipping cost of the components (order from Digikey) won't kill all of us. Right now looks like the component kit cost would be $6.XX.
I'm also looking for possible beta testers for the MAX1675 for a possible mini mag mod.
Maybe two or three people. I don't have too many ICs right now and would ask them to install and do a few battery runs and record the data to be posted on CPF.
