I'm coming. Turns out I booked the Brick Live for Friday. Good thing I double checked. Just back from the NEC now.

Great Scott - Jay you're timing is impeccable! Are you coming to the museum as well as the pub? We're meeting in the car park at Ten ish - traffic permitting. Or later at the pub an six ish.

I didn't realise I was working and left it too late to book off so I don't finish until midnight, by which time you'll all definitely be in bed!

arKmm - yup, I hope to be on my way back to the smoke by midnight. But we will meet up again in the early part of next year, so I hope you make it then.

See you tomorrow chaps.

Yay - Great to see everyone again.

Great day at the museum (not enough time in just one day) and fun in the pub and on the Downs.

Hey Blue ? What was that 26650 thrower ???

Jay what was that site you said ?? Link to the short micro-USB cables ..... and anything I've forgotten that I asked people for links too !

£5 (now £6) 5mW Laser

Pete

I had an excellent time with exceptional company.

My thrower is the old ACEBEAM K50 V3 CREE XHP35 HI. The K70 is the replacement.

An excellent meet thanks to the fine fellows that came along and the suggestion of where to go exploring from @remoteneeded who was unfortunately could not make it.

After the pub......

We've stepped on something lads, what is it?

Oh, someone has left an old tank lying around

Let's have a closer look then.

Armour piercing rounds have made a mess of the 3" thick steel plate armour, and that was back in WW2.

The rubber is still on the track wheels (that we could see).

Thanks for Pix Sub
:twothumbs

p.s. M45 is indeed The Pleiades (Messier 45), apparently also sometimes called the Maia Nebula ?
Personally I think Skymap should label it Pliedies really as we all know it as The Pliedies not M45.

Thanks a bunch for the flattering photo, Jay!

As you said on the night - if I sat on the wet rusty tank I'd stain my trousers! At least my flies were done up.

Ah well, such is life on The South Downs and in CPF UK!!!

All great piccies chaps. Another great place to visit. I'm so glad we found the tank!

An excellent day, spent with exceptional company indeed.

BLUELED, petrev and I went to a great museum and saw many many great things. Here are some of them:

The museum.

Sadly, Grace Jones was no longer in residence.

But, all too soon evening came and we retired to the pub to meet up with Jay R, Tofty and Subwoofer.

These are the Landlady's fingers. Illumination supplied by petrev's Tank 007 2aa UV light and a Solarforce L2 with UV drop-in.

Some torches and pens.

30583452201_838f468faa_c.jpg

Then off to the South Downs (we lost a jacketless Tofty along the way - see you at the next one, Sir).

The tank was superb and my pictures do not do it justice - see earlier pics by the others for the majesty of the place.

Another splendid day with CPF.

If only my TN42 had arrived on time!

Ah, and just room for Jay's illuminated trousers!

I never did find out how he did that!
