Wow, nice review. I'll look forward to seeing how the runtimes compare with the original. Thanks for all the time and effort I'm sure it takes to put together such a comprehensive review.

Thanks :)

I just corrected the typo

Great job. It really summarizes the features and qualities well. There may be a few typos in the Body section though; the review mentions the P3D several times.

Anodized type III coating also protects P3D from wear and corrosion in normal usage. The body of L2D CE Premium Q5 consists mainly of 3 parts; head housing lens, LED, reflector & Electronics, battery tube and the tail cap with switch. the battery tube has flat faces machined offering relatively good grip. The laser engraving is done on bezel to identify light model with P3D Premium Q5 engraved on it. the battery tube has fenix logo and P3D engraved. On the other side of bezel there is a also a serial number engraved. The overall size of P3D flashlight is very comfortable to hold in hands.

This might be an appropriate place to add a comment:

I bought a new L2D-CD/Q5 about 3 months ago. It had that annoying (to some) "feature" of flashing very brightly first when it was turned on in low mode.
Personally, this never bothered me, and was even sort of helpful in that if it did that flash, I knew for sure that I was in the lower setting "mode" of the light and not in the snug "high mode". Additionally, I got in the habit of simply holding the lens against my leg if I wanted to turn it on in the house at night so as not to get that vision shocking flash.
But I digress...

So anyway, I liked the light so much that I bought another new one just two weeks ago (around Christmas), and the first thing I noticed was that the "flash" was gone.
On this newer L2D-CD/Q5, when turning it on in the low settings, it does NOT flash anymore.

I don't know if this was a design "fix", or if maybe some flash and some don't due to erratic manufacturing procedures, so I thought I'd throw in this little information tidbit for anyone who might be interested.
I know this has been mentioned elsewhere but I figured it should be included in a review thread where the L2D is discussed.
