Has anybody seen a flashlight that uses CR2 batteries? I know the capacity would be less than the CR123, but they would make a very cool and quite a bit smaller light. Or is the capacity or the maximum amp draw too low to bother?

yclo,
Man! What a memory! How'd you remember something from over a year ago? Thanks for the info. So, I guess that's a NO for incandescent use, at least. Well, it was a thought.

Cause I thought of the same question a while ago, and before I posted aobut it, I looked it up. Sure enough someone had already tried it.

There was a topic on this on the old SFDB too.
Complete with pictures.

I think I still have pictures from that experiment. Basically I took 3 CR2s and stuck them in an M2 with P91 lamp. I'll dig around, I took down that site long ago because it wasn't getting hits anymore.

Good memory though sheesh.

I know it's been done, but I'm planning a CR2-based BadBoy 500. I started a run time test last night and got over 90 minutes (10 min on/10 min cool) I think it's in "moon" mode now, but I got another 20 minutes this morning. Fud for thought.
