I deliver car parts part time and ended up going down a one way (half block) due to every alternative blocked off due to construction. So no choice. Had a guy screaming at me (on foot not driving) that what I was doing was illegal. He actually called 911. I just left. Thinking about just staying home. It is insanity to even go out.

you have legs, go use that expensive *** street parking and hoof it 😅

A few dozen stone worth of car parts never hurt anyone. 😒

In my part of the world, law enforcement leaves delivery vehicles alone. I used to drive a soda pop delivery truck, and I could park on the street, blocking angle parked cars in, and deliver product to the businesses front door, and never, NEVER, was bothered by the police. Never had a driver of a blocked car complain, either. I would be very upset if a delivery truck blocked my vehicle, anywhere. But I don't remember having any problems. Odd...

Must have been a very popular soda pop. 😂

Diet Dr. Pepper really does taste like regular Dr. Pepper.
So, why not just get rid of the regular Dr. Pepper?

Of all the diet sodas I've tried, DP was the closest to regular...but IMO still not the same.
I pretty much pushed sodas off my list. My roommate just brough over a couple of no/low calorie energy drinks left over from the Super party. One has just a few 'natural sweeteners' from fruit juice but one is that Erythritol stuff that makes my stomach feel weird. Didn't notice it was in there. Tastes good tho'...we'll see if it mucks with my innards.

Sadly, it likely will. I intentionally look for sodas that don't have that 💩 in it.

That chit is addicting tho'.
I took a delivery to an elementary school one day. They had run out of Coke in the teachers lounge vending machine. The female teachers in the room just about lynched me, they were so mad. One gal confessed that she drinks a 6 pack of pop a day. I barely got out of that break room in one piece. Talk about work place harassment. Hmmm, maybe I could have sued...Nah, not back then (late 1970's). Today, maybe.

A 12-ounce can of Coke contains almost ten teaspoons of sugar. Would you ever put that much sugar in a glass of tea?

F-NO! I drink tea without sugar. I just put about a half teaspoon in my first cup of coffee and sip on it all morning. If/when it needs to refilled I don't add anymore. Just top it up.
I pretty much stopped using white sugar. Sometimes, honey or real maple syrup when I want something sweet(er).

I don't think I have any sugar in the house.

I used to drink cokes pretty much all day long. When I was younger, it was a lot easier to burn all that off. Not so easy now.
Once I quit the sodas and sugar, I went from 250 to 170-175lbs. Light exercise (walk/bike) and a lot fewer empty carbs/calories.

That gal sounds like me a few years ago. Don't touch my cokes! LOL

That right there is the key. I drink black coffee or sparkling water all day and save the calories for foods with higher satiation so you can actually have a decent dinner and not worry too much about your intake.

People will happily drink 1000kcals in cans of coke or an iced coffee and wonder why they still put on weight when they eat moderately healthy.

Calories in vs Calories out (Unless you're some kind of thermodynamics miracle)
