cmon spill it. dont be ashamed. i know theres people with rare flashlights, Ti this and chrome that, collectors with gorgeous Safe Queens that must be tenderly cared for.

what kind of fastidious, crazy, OCD things do you do for your lovelies? white gloves while handling, obsessive polishing and repolishing, face masks to not breathe on them, cleaning off every spec of dust under a magnifying glass, lining them up at exactly .75" intervals, and keeping under lock and key... lets hear it!

Well it's not super rare but it was mildy expensive, my Aleph A19 cree on a vital gear FB2 in black with a PEU bezel lays inside a sock inside a old pen box in my drawer.I take it out every other night to look at it.

HAHA, classic thread! I don't have anything super rare or valuable, but I do make sure my hands are clean before handling some of them, and I try to never touch the lens with my finger tip.

I love the face mask comment. I honestly hope that no one on here does that. If they do they most likely need some help.

I USE mine :)

Below are examples, all "in use".
Surefire Titan ti and Nautilus Ti (Nautilus is most often in my pocket!!)
Ti Mule, Ti Altin PD-S Ti McLux III (bottom L to R)

The only safe queens I have are firearms... way too rare or exotic to shoot.

I kinda have shelf queens but they do get a bit of use - A locked Pelican case does the trick when not in use tho!

I dont use my Surefires L4, A2, E1E as so much, so I keep them looked in a small safebox. I dont call them shelf queens, although they currently acts like it, If I would use them I probably wouldnt loock them in, but if I dont someone would sooner or later find them and use them, and loose track of them...

I have this sort of behaviour with all my new things, I tend to gather all my newly purchased stuff, and loock them in, or store them gently in some box, and hide the box. I really dont feel 100% sane doing this...

I sometimes feel like a hamster...

My friend bought a knife from me once, and after he had it he said "Im going to put this in "use" now, not the way you use them....."

I think my behaviour is just as crazy as being over protective about a real shelf queen light.. But it might be for another thread... :)

I use all the lights i have regarding expensive ones when friends and family pick them up i let them, it usually goes like this (as with other stuff i have):

-"hey this looks nice" (they never ask if they can see it they just take, something i will never get used to, as i always ask when i want to see something thats not mine, but its ok at this point)
-they start fiddling with it
-they start taking it apart..
-"you know, gimme that before you end up owing me a flashlight" or something like that (grab flashlight back)

end of situation :D

but really i use and give the lights for use when needed, i just KNOW no one will take care of MY stuff the way i do, and i dont have the money to replace them so easily, so i need them to be in good shape and in great working order for the times when they are really needed.
