Ron,

Will there be any of the M2 bezels in black and the lipless design? A half mm or so bezel gap is ok with me.

Anyone else try to install B@rt's trits in this head? I found the slots to be too small for the trits to fully seat. Just curious. Still my favorite flashlight head ever...

Can someone confirm this? I hope that the trits sit well, I plan to order 2 black ones soon and the only reason to get these new version for me are the trit slots...

I had to use a very small Dremel bit and BY HAND remove the anodizing inside the opening in order for the trits to fit. I placed two orders with B@rt, and both sets of trits fit the exact same. It seems however many thousands of an inch the anodizing coating adds to the overall dimensions of the head affects the fit of the trits. Not a big deal as I was able to make it work.

Thanks for the info!

While I have a Dremel and all sorts of bits, this operation looks quite dangerous to me, you need a calm hand and need to be very carefull to not ruin the finish around and on the edges of the slots...

Ok forgive me for my igonrance here. I have an M2 bezel. I am using a Malkoff M61 dropin. I put the plastic ring ontop of the dropin? and there is no "lip" inside the bezel like on Surefire bezels that the fron of the dropin rests on? it is basically pressing against the glass? That doesnt seem optimum for heat dissipation and impact resistance of the glass .

also with the ring ontop of the malkoff M61 dropin it still doesnt make contact and I have to use a spring on the base to get the light to work is this normal also?

Yup, you're right, the drop in rests on the glass if you're not using the plastic ring. The reason for this is to minimize the beam cutoff caused by having a recessed drop in. Most of the heat is dissipated to the host then to the bezel since that's where there's the most surface area.

No you shouldn't have to use a spring at the base for the light to work. If that's the case, I can send you another ring and you might have to double up. PM me if you need an extra ring.
