Currency conversion?

This is probably a dumb question and I'm probably not asking right but how do you convert currency? For example: I want to buy something priced in euros but I'm paying with dollars. So do I convert dollars to euros or vice versa? Thanks!

convert the amount in euros to dollars, most likely there will be a conversion fee involved somewhere.

If you're paying by credit card/online, all the conversion is already done for you, you just do the usual online checkout and the conversion is automatic.
