Your order did not include a spacer since you asked me to build you a host for a D size cell only. If you want the extra spacer for an 18650 cell, just send me the additional $5 - no problem.

Now, when I cut a body for the D cell or the 18650, I adjust the length of the body to one of the other. If a person wants the body to support both, I pick a different length/spring arrangement to make sure both fit. Do you want to change the size of your body to accept the longer 18650 cell?

I have some project ideas including a water-proof, external magnetic switch, so I have been "storing" them for now until I have more time to develop the mechanical/electronic side of things since I don't know for sure yet if I will need additional Maglite "D" size material for that project. One of these days I will make time to work on that development

For somebody with a CNC lathe, that would be a great, simple, and relatively cheap thing to offer, but for me with a manual lathe these extensions would be expensive for me to offer, since it takes me the same amount of time to create an extension (cut/re-thread) as it takes doing a 1xD - so I have so far not offered extensions for sale. Plus, it is more common to need a host cut/re-threaded than a host that needs an extension since the original mags are offered in 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D, and 6D 😉
