I just read this on the site!

"Tested to equivalent water depth of 500’ with no leakage."

WOW!

I love the Mule-like beam with the head removed, but I don't like the idea of carrying around the flashlight with the emitter exposed.

Does anyone who owns a Lenslight Mini know of a bezel that matches the body threads?

If so, that would be a nice base for framing a window.

Any other ideas of how to protect the exposed emitter?

Looking at the bezel, it would appear that you could remove the aspheric...why not just take that out and replace it with a standard flat lens?

My preference is to avoid opening up the head. I'm afraid of contaminating/damaging the internal workings.

Well the electronics on that end are completely potted...when you have it at full zoom, the electronics are backed away from the lens/head assembly as well. Should be smooth sailing...Best of luck.

I have not heard anything.

Nothing here either. I have tried to pm (box was full); sent an e-mail (was given a phone number); called and got his machine...I left a message today.

I was one of the last (if not, the last) to get in on the GDuPs, I ordered and paid on 3/4/09. However, I trusted that the light would be delivered as he had indicated (3 weeks from order date). In fact, I really wasn't in a hurry, just wanted it before May 26...I never thought that would be a problem, but now I am not so sure!

Long story short: these lights are going to be very cool; and it would only take moment for LensBright to post an update for those of us who have not received our lights. A little communication would go a long way...

Please pardon my lapse of good manners. I should have thanked you for the idea. And it is a good idea, it's an option that others may wish to further consider.

I have my reasons for not going in that direction. Besides dirt and dust getting behind the lens, there's also the problem of mildew, fungi, and bacterial contamination. In my warm and humid climate, "stuff" grows - even in complete darkness!

No worries!

And I didn't see your locale...I totally understand wanting to keep it sealed up! I work with lenses daily...fungi is the enemy!

Still no update???

I am confident that we will all eventually get our lights, and I am equally confident that the lights are going to be very cool! However, this is getting very frustrating!!!!

A simple post giving all of us an update would be nice!

I received my light today!!!!

As many others have mentioned, it arrived via FedEx Overnight and it was packed very securely! After getting down to the light, I was NOT disappointed! It is a beautiful light, and the "dark earth" ano is very nice, and even better looking in person than in the pictures. The light came with an Energizer 123, which I promptly inserted into the light...WOW, this thing is nice and bright, and the aspherical lens just makes it all the better! The light certainly appears to be built like a tank. I am definitely satisfied with the light, and am happy that I waited for it (although not so patiently)!!!

Thank you LensBright for producing this awesome light. My only negative is the lack of communication/updates! Other than that, just an awesome little light...I can't wait for it to get dark so I can play with it!!!
