Did you checked it  According to data posted by traildesaster 477/580 lumens for Wilma means for me that they are grudging and putting T/R bins SSC in their lamps… In Sigma Sports PowerLed's 2/3 was S bin Lux III and 1/3 T bin, in Petzl's the same… In DiNotte 200 after replacing led with U-bin emitter there was improvement too... :faint:
So, I don't have any doubt's that other producers are doing the same thing

Actually I'm very interested in that observation. Was that one of the current Dinotte 200L? I have a 200L and 600L and have been wondering what bin was in them. If popping in a some U-bin SSC will be an improvement I might seriously consider doing so.

what's a U-bin guys (in simple terms if possible) and how important is it?

BIN is how the manufacturer categorizes their LEDs in terms of brightness and tint. If you refer to the following chart:

http://img529.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fluxvfig5.jpg

You'll see SSC P4 has a "U" bin code that provides anywhere from 91 to 118.5 lumens at a drive current of 350ma. Prior BINs produce less lumens from the same amount of drive current. So all things being equal, if you replace an S or T bin with a U bin you should see a significant increase in brightness.

Hi, the dinotte 200 don't have a luxeon V?? this works to 6,8 volts, not to 3,7 volts...how the seouls, crees...
