Ok, so does that mean you can make a neutral MC-E/P7 at full power, 3 levels? How much current to the 3 levels draw using 2x18650s?

I dont have a clue. They are 15% -45% - 100%

Batts are from 5.5volts to 14 volts

I just found this thread.

I am wanting the brightest d36 dropin I can find or with longest throw.

It will run off 2 or 3 cr123's.

It is going in this foregrip...

Hi

The brightest are MCE, P7, SST-50 since they have the most power or lumen. They also come with a lot of spill or sidelight.
The XRE R2 bin is a great thrower with less spill but less total light.

Do you need just a one level or 3

I got the email , thanks for the update. I have had good luck with with the SST 50, I find myself using it the most often on my dog walks.

Yours is packed and I will mail tomorrow, yours came out great, no artifacts at all, very bright and no blue it is a nice white color.

I received the drop-in today. I am really pleased with it. Nice white tint as I like it and a beautiful beam without any artifacts, rings or MC-E cross. At first I was dissapointed with it´s brightness, can you belief it. I guess I had tomatoes on my eyes. Now that it is dark I got my eyes straight and see how bright it really is.

I´m already thinking about one of those SST-50 or SST-90 drop-ins 😎 But I have to think of a good host first. Maybe one of FiveMega´s 2C bodies.

Yes the SST's are very interesting but still in the shaping stages. I really dont' have a good driver for SST90 with two rechargeables. I have been using mine with a one C and a red AW C cell

Beamshot comparsion of my MC-E Mbin module in a Surefire M3 head with Lumens Factory IMR13 D36 (1000 bulb Lumens / ~600 lumens out the front) in a Lumens Factory D36 mini turbo head as well as Lumen Factory R2 3Mode D26 (~290 bulb lumens / ~230 lumens out the front):

I really appreciate it´s bright floody beam and yet being able to throw a little better than the picture really shows.
The lego with the MC-E drop-in is my favourite light now due to the great beam (and of course all the nice looking parts that went into it).
