Got a great deal on a Dereelight DBSv2 over at the marketplace with intention to upgrade to sst-50.It came with xp-g r5 pill and smooth reflector.
The Beam was just awful.Spot too small.Corona virtually non-existant due to the rings.Spill very wide but very dim.Absolutely unusable to me.
I had already ordered the lop xr-e/sst-50 lop reflector and Nailbender 5700k sst-50 so I wasn't too concerned.The reflector from FL connection arrived today still waiting on new pill so decided to try it with xp-g emitter.The lop is not specified for use with xp-g.The hole is a lot bigger.
The beam is tons better though.Bigger spot.Bright (still slightly greenish) corona and a useful,defined spill beam.Still throws good and I can actually make out what I'm lighting up now.A much better light.$20 wll spent.Deree really dropped the ball with that smooth reflector IMO.
Just waiting impatiently for that sst to show up.
