Last week I got another 8 Eneloops - when I was going through a discharge before doing an initial forming charge on my C9000, I noticed one was completely dead. Measured 0V. Anybody else struck a dead one out of the box?

(It was replaced by the supplier - the new one seems just as good as the other 27 I have) :)

Cheers

No - probably have about 25-30 Eneloop AA's now - all perfect and the advertised capacity seems to be more accurate (i.e. 2000-2100mah) compared to many of the 2700mah cells that actually rate at about 2200-2300mah!!

Don't really see the point in normal NiMH AA / AAA batteries now as the (true) capacity may only be slightly higher but with self discharge that benefit is lost unless they are used quickly.
