Dealextreme vs Lighthound 6P Cree Drop-in

I just got my 6P Cree drop-in from Dealextreme. Upon initial inspection I noticed the o-ring between the reflector and emitter was broken and there are a couple of marks on the edge of the reflector where some sort of clamp held the piece while the silver finish was applied, this didn't have any effect on output just a visual problem. I them compared it to the Lighthound Cree drop-in, the DE version draws 1.00 amps from the 3.7 volt battery, while the LH version only draws 600 milliamps from the 3.7 volt battery. This translates into a lot brighter light.

The LH is on the left and the DE on the right. Notice the spillbeam from the DE completely washes out the LH version. Also the DE version fits just like the LH version. The bezel doesn't screw all the way down, but with a little filing on the tapered part of the drop-in module I got it to fit perfectly.

I'm assuming the DE one you have is the $12.50 variety. If so WOW! I have two on order.

Very nice. I can't wait. When you said you had to file the tapered part of the drop-in. I'm assuming the bottom portion?

I have one on order too...I wish it didn't take so long to get stuff from DX. I know that last time I ordered from them was in the middle of Chinese New Year, so hopefully it won't be quite as long as last time.

The beamshots are definitely getting me anxious!!!
