Decent single-hand compact pocket knife?

Hi, I'm looking to replace an older Gerber money-clip knife that's been well used and abused. I'm just curious if there's a decent folding knife with a 2"-2 1/2" blade that someone can recommend. I need it to be easily opened with one hand and to have a sharp blade that can hold an edge fairly well.

AG Russell is a good place to look for small gent knives.

For the money, I doubt you'll find a better knife than a Spyderco / Byrd Robin. Go here (http://www.gpknives.com/item/spyderco-byrd-robin-g10.html) to to see it and for a great place to buy one. (No, I'm not associated with Grand Prairie Knives - I'm just a satisfied customer.)

I'm no knife expert, but I've had maybe 25 knives in my life. I have come to like the BenchMade brand for my needs - though there are PLENTY of other great knives.

I have the larger version of this and I love the action and locking and the feel of it in my hand; and it does take and keep a nice edge:

I second the Byrd knives for the money...can't beat it!

Maybe the Boker Subcom, Wharcom, or Trance meet your needs. They're all compact but tough little knives that retail around $30. You cannot go wrong with the Byrd series of knives either.

Take a look at the Boker Subcom series. They work well as money clips. They are framelocks and this takes a little getting use to for some people. I carried lockbacks my life (mostly Spydercos) but the Subcom series made me a fan of the framelock.
