Dereelight. Difference with 18650 vs. 2x RCR123?

Just got my Dereelight CL1H V3 Q5 today. I had ordered the 3-stage, but I got the 2-stage by mistake. My original intention was to run the 3-stage with a 18650 because that battery with the 3 stage will give full regulation, but not with the 2-stage, or so I've been told. I'm trying to decide if I should just keep the 2-stage.

As it happens, I ordered some 18650's and some RCR123's from AW, so I guess I could run this 2-stage with some RCR123's.

My question: What can I expect running the light with 2xRCR123 vs. an 18650?

My rather poorly educated guess would be:

2x RCR123: More light, less runtime, fully regulated

18650: Less light, more runtime, not fully regulated

I think if I am right, I might keep the 2-stage... Can anyone confirm or correct me?

They've changed the first post and now they've got only two stage pills in the lights, not three. You might still have the digital regulation.

Oh, it seems the digital is click once 100%, click again 15%, click again, off.
The non-regulated you twist the battery tube to change light levels.

That's what I'm reading, in any case.
