DFW Texas Flashaholic Get Together

DFW Texas Flashapalooza, Sat. November 15th. 2008

Is there any interest in a Texas Dallas / Fort Worth Get Together? I sure miss the last one, and am anxious to see everyones new toys. My schedule is limited to Mon-Wed until November, but it's never too early to start planning.

Lavon, TX 75166

It's an outdoor area with plenty of distant objects to get some nice beamshots.

sunset is at 5:26 p.m., so this should help finding the place.
The entrance is just south of the main park entrance

I talked to The Army Core of Engineers about using their park, and no Green Lasers are allowed, so if you were planning to bring one, leave it at home , we will probably be getting a visit by both the FAA and the police.

I'm needing to head north to visit my mom but don't know for sure yet, so another maybe.

Would be nice to have a D/FW/H somewhere in between. I know during Ike there where ppl from all around Houston poping up.

FYI - 3rd_shift (Stephen Appelman) passed away, August 25th
A DFW Get Together will not be the same without him.
Our condolences and best wishes to his family and loved ones.

I just found out about the get-together from aircraft800 yesterday.
I am planning to be there and meet some of the people that knew my son 3rd_shift. Some of you had met him in person and some only on-line. I look forward to meeting you.
