Did anybody actually buy a Lens-Light?

I saw this light reviewed a year or so ago on Flashlight reviews and through it would be neat to pick up until I saw the price: 148$-171$! It shocked me into submission and I never got one. I'm wondering if anyone else actually bought one, search showed nothing for me and I'm curious to see if there are any other user reviews out there.

This light would be real awesome if it had a rebel 100, a 2 stage momentary tail twisty that when half pressed and the twisty tightened would be the low mode and a full press or half pressed with the twisty tightened would be the high mode, aa batteries and and sold for at most 60.

I bought one, but I sold it. It had excellent focusing, but had a "spotlight" type beam even on wide-beam that I did not care for. And it wasn't nearly bright enough. Other than that, the quality was superb.

The Lens light being a regulated AAA flashlight really is amazingly heavy duty.
What's more amazing is the amount of work they put into the R and D.
They even built their own static pressure testing system in order to prove the pressure the light can withstand.

The design is unusual. it is also very unique and beautiful.
The use of 7075 aluminum puts the light into another league when it comes to it's strength.
Granted this light is NOT ultra bright....By design.

In terms of price? There are a lot of lesser flashlights whose price is higher than the lens light. The Fit and finish is second to none.
Chapman Leonard as a company was/is not one to do things 1/2 way.
Look at the other equipment they make...It is amazing.
The lens light is no different..

All that being said the Lens Light generally doesn't provide enough brightness to satisfy most Cpf's.
It is almost too unique.
Too bad.
I am happy that I have one of each and use them on a semi regular basis.
