Did my eneloop miss termination?

I have some eneloops that have been charged just a couple times, and I wanted to upgrade my charger, so I bought the LaCrosse BC-700. I charged one of the eneloops last night at 500 mA and when I went to check on it it read 1.51 V on the charger and I think was up to 2300 mA in. I pulled the battery out because I was afraid it missed the termination. The cell did not feel hot. Does 1.51 V indicate that it missed the -dV termination? I believe I've read on this forum that the Maha charger has a failsafe termination at 1.48 V perhaps? I think next time I'll try charging at 700 mA if 500 mA made it miss the termination. Thanks.

Eneloops can easily reach 1.54 V before charge termination is signaled. At 1.51 V it was probably still charging.

[Edit: The best test is to feel the temperature of the cell. If it is cool there is nothing to worry about, but if it starts feeling warm to hot it may be time to stop the charge. Unfortunately this is not a perfect test as "crap" cells can start getting hot before they have finished charging.]

Mr.Happy is correct. I have duraloops and voltage readings while charging can easily go 1.54v. That is the sign that the cells is close to being fully charged and can terminate any minute.

I read somewhere that that Maha will stop the charge at exactly 1.48v. If that is the case, then the cells would be slightly undercharged.

Also the charge reading being put in is not that accurate. It is the charge that comes out from the cells matters.
