difference in x80 and p-series lamps

are they structually the same? I know the bulb is different but i have an idea of putting a luxeon in a blown x80 lamp assembly but if there is no difference between the x-series and the p-series then if someone had a p-sereies that was blown mabey i could get it from them and i will pay to have it shipped to me...
