Direct Drive NiMh D cell.....how many AMPs?

If quality Tenergy/Maha/Titanium nimh D cell batteries are used, how many amps are available in 2D/3D/4D M*g? TIA, Willie

Are pushing over 20A at the tailcap. Lamda thinks it can be as high as 30A fresh off the charger. The 20A is no biggie, but my runtime is 10minutes of insane brightness before it tapers off. Oh and I can only have it on 1minute at a time. lol

Using two Tenergy D cells in a 2D red Maglite with copper tail spring mod, am getting 8a+ with a red Luminus PT54 vf2.5 with18ga wire. This is with a stock Mag switch. Am using a bimetal aluminium heat sink with a copper slug (1"dia x .6 lg) pressed in the center made on a lathe by me.

BigC: Liked the mosfet switch on your build and may use it on the green PT120. Recieved a new Jade green 4D Mag from Zbattery last week. Hard to find color. Guess I'm kind of OCD about having matching color coordinated light/bodies.
