Disassembling SF P** lamp assemblies?

Has anyone successfully separated the lamp modules from the reflector of P** without damaging either? I am looking for a solvent that will dissolve the epoxy without damaging the lamp base. I haven't tried any yet (thought I'd ask before ruining another LA).
